    A three-month acceleration program focused on early stage startups in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The program is driven by lean and growth methodologies to help startups scale faster and hit your next investment milestone quicker.

     

    Startups will have access to local and international mentors, guided workshops, one on one sessions, introductions to business and investor networks, and targeted training and assistance.

     

    Participants will have increased investment readiness and the opportunity to receive funding from the program partners.

    Development Innovations (DI) is a six-year USAID-funded project that helps civil society organisations, technology companies, social enterprises and young innovators to design and use information and communications technology (ICT) solutions and employ innovative processes to tackle Cambodia’s development challenges. USAID's Development Innovations project is funding Mekong Strategic Partners and Seedstars to customise and localise the Seedstars curriculum, develop and run the three month accelerator program, and provide follow up mentoring support for the selected Cambodian startups.

    1. Where will the program be physically held?

    • The program will take place on the premises of the office of Mekong Strategic Partners, located at Level 2, #33 Sothearos Boulevard (Corner St 178, Phnom Penh, Cambodia).

    2. How many team members expected to participate in the program?

    • We expect at least 1 of the co-founders of the startup to be physically present in Phnom Penh during the whole period of the program.

    3. What are the most important criteria for being selected to the program?

    • Tech startup, functional MVP or better, and having customers or recurring revenue, along with a founding team of 2 or more people.

    4. Which language will the program be held in?
    • The program will be completely held in English.
    5. When is the deadline to submit a startup application?
    • The deadline to apply is 23:59 CET time on April 14th.
    6. What does Early Stage mean?
    • Early stage means that your product/ service is still being tested in the market with a minimum-viable product. Your product/ service has early customer interest and you are getting feedback on how to improve it in order to make it ready for market. Ideally, you have started your business less than 3 years ago. 
    7. How much time do I have to commit every week?
    • You will have to commit about 8-10 hours to the program every week. Every event held within the program is geared towards helping your business scale faster, so think of it as time invested into your usual business rather than outside of it.
